Jiangxi Copper Industry Guixi Smelter No. 1 Workshop Wastewater COD Disposal Research Project Exceeded Owner’s Requirements and Passed Owner’s Review - Shanghai Winner Environmental Technologies Co., Ltd

Recently, Shanghai Winning Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. entered the Guixi Smelter of Jiangxi Copper Industry. This project will conduct technical development research for the treatment of wastewater CODcr in the first workshop of Jiangxi Copper Industry Guixi Smelter in order to develop a technical process route suitable for the requirements of the first workshop. .

Jiangxi Copper Group Corporation (Jiangxi Copper Group for short) was established in July 1979. It is a large-scale joint enterprise integrating copper mining, selection, smelting and adding in the non-ferrous metal industry in China. It is China’s largest copper production base and Important raw materials for vulcanization and the origin of gold, silver and rare metals. The company has eight mines (including equity), five smelters, six copper processing companies, three rare earth metal production units, a rare earth company, and value-added service systems such as finance companies, Jinrui futures companies, international trading companies, and logistics companies. .

The wastewater treated in this pilot test is the high-salt and high-CODcr refractory wastewater produced in the first workshop of Jiangxi Copper Industry Guixi Smelter. The main types of wastewater include excess silver precipitation (30m3/d), silver reduction solution (50m3/d), Separate copper immersion silver waste liquid (80m3/d) and replacement tellurium waste liquid (50m3/d). Among them, the excess silver immersion liquid (30m3/d) and the silver reduction liquid (50m3/d) are difficult to handle with high salinity. Wastewater has a high CODcr, which is difficult to treat and cannot be treated separately.

In terms of evaporator, for high-salt, high-CODcr and difficult-to-treat wastewater, a high-efficiency heat pump vacuum low-temperature evaporator designed and imported from Italy is adopted. The high-efficiency heat pump type vacuum low-temperature evaporator integrates heat pump technology and vacuum technology. The integrated design gives the evaporator an evaporation temperature of 35-60℃, providing waste liquid reduction (10-15% concentrated liquid) and zero discharge (crystallization). While adding value-added services, it also reduces disposal costs. In addition, the evaporator adopts modular component integration, which is easy to install and maintain. The integrated design makes it have a small footprint.

After a month of hard work by two colleagues in the environmental protection R&D department of Winning, they passed a series of pilot experiments, and finally the removal rate of wastewater CODcr reached more than 90%, which exceeded the requirements of the owner, passed the owner’s review and received consistent Praise.
